User Profile

I now present my quirks (which are far more interesting than if i give you a psych report ;p)

* I step over the lines/cracks on the ground. I even step over the space where lines from the other lane are aligned to.

* I love the rain... but only if classes are cancelled ;p

* I am a Pen-o-phile. I am very particular with my pens.

* Most of what I am is because of anime... and CSI.

* I'd rather work long hours, run 10 km, and carry tons of stuff than eat icky food.

* I'd rather save money than eat... then splurge on books.

* Reading gives me detachment from the Real World and chances to look, observe, and learn of possibilities. “Fairy Tales are not made to prove that there are dragons, but that they can be defeated.” Neil Gaiman, Paolo Coelho, J. Cheney, Yoko Matsushita, Arthur Conan Doyle, Eoin Colfer, Stephen King, Kaori Yuki and Robert Ludlum have taught me this much. There are also nonfictions that interest me, mostly Applied Social Psych books like Laws of Power and Sun-Tzu’s Art of War. I love to observe how people use power, interact, react, manipulate, strategize and launch psych wars against each other. I aspire to be a power player in the near future. (bwahaHAHAHA >_<)

* I am a gamer. I'm hoping to buy a PS 2 (when it gets cheaper…) to play Naruto (… by the time I get my hands on a thousand-peso console, PS 10.5 is already out).

* In the course of my Guidance Counselor/Teacher stint, I found that I have incredible patience for people, maternal instincts (which, I think will fade in time), the will to stop suicidal ideations, and spontaneity. I also found out that I have an aversion for old women that I am not related to, and female bosses who have hormonal problems.
EDIT: Luckily, I am currently working for two cool ladies in my new job.

* I also found out I don’t like work at all; maybe in the future I *might* come to like work – but that would only happen if one of the following happens: a) be a concert pianist/violinist, b) become a writer, c) be recruited for CSI, d) be discovered as a rock star, e) be a mangaka, f) got elected as the President of the world, or; g) all of the above.

* I want to go back to school and will do so when I get the opportunity (pera lang naman problema ko -_-).

* I want to travel and visit Japan, and learn about the culture and the people. I hope the trip planned for 2007 happens.

* People say that I am too idealistic, and that my dreams of order, and peace and harmony, and an ubersexual boyfriend who will never be called gay, are dangerous things to wish for. They’d tell me, “You’re so young” and “You worry too much”. They advised me to go on like I’ve never seen things, live life and go with the flow; else die swimming against it. It’s sad because these people have already resigned themselves to small worlds that present how the Good is a preposterous thought left to the young and the pampered. Well guess what, old-timers: the GOOD is a REALITY. It must not be denied, however strong or high up on the ladder the oppressors are. I’m that kind of person (damn Philosophy and History for it! ;p)… I can’t let bad things be. I never thought how harsh the REAL WORLD is, but it is not reason enough to let it continue and kill HOPE, and the “devil’s advocate” who works to change the world for the better.
